The Irish Banking Federation (IBF) is the leading representative body for the banking and financial services sector, with members comprising banks and other financial services institutions, both domestic and international, operating in Ireland.

IBF represents the following membership groups:

• Retail banks and building societies servicing Irish personal and business customers.
• Wholesale banks and operations providing corporate, investment, treasury, capital markets and international financial services. Wholesale banks are represented by the Federation of International Banks in Ireland (FIBI), which is affiliated to IBF.
• Mortgage lenders providing housing finance to domestic borrowers. Ireland’s mortgage lenders are represented by the Irish Mortgage Council (IMC), which is affiliated to IBF.
