IBF Overview

The Irish Banking Federation is the principal voice for the banking and financial services sector in Ireland. Our membership comprises banks and other financial institutions, both domestic and international, operating in Ireland.

IBF works with its members to represent and promote the interests of banking and financial services in Ireland.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to foster the development of a stable, dynamic and innovative banking and financial services industry which contributes to the economic and social wellbeing of the country.

  • To develop and present a strong, united voice on relevant sectoral issues

How We Work

IBF operates at national, European and international levels:

  • in Ireland, we work with members, government, the regulator and a wide range of stakeholders to support the development and growth of the sector;
  • as members of the European Banking Federation, we monitor and provide input to legislative and regulatory developments in the EU and globally on behalf of the sector.
